What is CBD? A question that more and more people find themselves asking. In short, cannabidiol (referred to as CBD) is a naturally occurring cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant. The male variety (hemp) as well as the female variety (marijuana) both come from the same mother cannabis plant. It’s important to note that both hemp and marijuana both contain CBD, despite having very different legalities surrounding the two.
There is a vast array of cannabinoids found in the hemp plant, none more renown for it’s healing and general health benefits than CBD. CBD products derived from hemp, available on the market today generally contain less than .3% THC (the intoxicating cannabinoid found in hemp’s sister marijuana) thus allowing for all of the benefits the hemp plant has to offer without any high. Many CBD products actually contain 0% THC.
CBD can be taken into the body in a variety of ways, such as but not limited to, inhalation through smoke or vapor, consumed orally, aerosol sprayed, or even applied directly to the skin.
CBD has been proven to help with a wide variety of ailments including epilepsy, pain and inflammation, nausea, anxiety, multiple sclerosis pain and schizophrenia. Some studies even indicate that CBD aides in fighting cancer.
We are very exited to and eager to continue to follow the growth and expansion of this wonder drug as it continues to evolve and change lives in a positive way!
